HOSPITAL RIP OFFS : Took my wife to the Local Multi-Care Hospital for a hurt neck, they did a 20 minute cat scan with dye, gave her some shot that made her sick. Just got the bill for a 4 hour ER visit: $12,563.56, now that Hospital is on the preferred providers list so the Ins. Co. only would pay $1225.00, so the Hospital drops all but $333.00 (I pay) so if the Hospital can just discount over $10,000.00, do you think the bill was jacked up a tad bit ? WTF, I called and told them I want an itemized statement right down to the $30.00 Q-Tip, this is why our Health insurance is so dam high, rip off Hospitals and Doctors !! Im glad I only have to pay $333.00, but it still pisss me off how they over charge for everything, pricks ,all of them. Im sure another $5000.00 worth of bills will trickle in soon. !!
