HOUSE CLEANING This group was formed after the demise of another FB Group called (if I remember correctly) Espanola…..Voices of The People. That group was formed by a long term resident who was concerned about property taxes and he wanted to have a forum in which to discuss taxes and all that surrounds that dominating issue. The group was “raided” (for lack of a better word) by a small group of individuals who began throwing insults and ridiculing members of the group and very soon afterwards the group was taken over by the supporters of our status quo high spending municipal government. The FB Group, Open Forum for Open Minds, is what is left of Voices of The People and if you check that out right now you will see that it has devolved into silliness and is now an inactive group and has pretty well fizzled and died. With that experience, we kept a close watch on this group and we fully expected an effort to repeat what happened to Voices of The People and a few weeks ago we could see history repeating itself again. While we encourage questions and discussion, we do not appreciate games and when anyone continues to pose the same question after that question has been repeatedly answered, or if any individual wants to play “devil’s advocate”………these are games and will not be tolerated. Over the weekend, there were some insulting, sarcastic and ridiculing comments aimed in general at this group and at some specific group members. As a result, we have decided to do some house cleaning and as of today, I have removed 2 members of this group and 3 requests to join this group have been denied. We have important political issues to deal with and there will be no games played here. If anyone objects to what is being written here I suggest that you not read it.
