HOUSE DECLARES MALUNGGAY NATIONAL VEGGIE March 11, 2014 A House bill declaring malunggay or Moringa oleifera as the national vegetable and setting November as the National Malunggay Month was approved on third and final reading on Monday. The World Health Organization has been promoting the vegetable as a low-cost health enhancer in poor countries around the globe. According to the bill, the secretaries of agriculture, education, and health, and the chairman of the National Commission for Culture and Arts shall promulgate the rules and regulations necessary for the implementation of the measure.
