HOUSTON, WE MAY HAVE A PROBLEM ...but it is surely about get resolved!! Hats off to First Lady Anetta Parker for a PHENOMENAL job done in pulling all of the right people together for such rich and necessary dialogue on issues such as human trafficking, domestic violence, early childhood education, co-op education programs and of course, funding for all. Houstons first ladies were represented quite well! On deck we had Lady Sandra Deckard of the Greenhouse International Church who spoke passionately about her Genesis House which is a safe haven home created for trouble women and girls in the Spring area. Coming in at power forward was Lady Alana L. Cook who expounded on the immediate need for funding to help run safe havens like the Genesis House. Minister Meco Dawkins chimed in in full support and agreement as she too is quite familiar with the importance of the issues at hand by way of personal experience! We thank you President Barack H. Obama, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Presidential Advisor Valorie Jarrett, and all others who have put feet to their passions regarding issues that are plaguing our nation by making this meeting happen today. Roll up your sleeves Houston...WE GOT WORK TO DO and the First Ladies are gonna get this ball to rolling, but WE NEED YOUR HELP! Stay tuned now ya hear??
