HOW DO YOU KNOW A PERSON WAS CALLED BY GOD TO PREACH? I am confronted by this question all the time. I am going to answer this question as best as I could. You cannot get up one day and decide you want to be a pastor, you have to be chosen by God. When you are chosen by God no matter what you decide to do you will find yourself unconsciously moving in that direction, you become a preacher with out even seriously planning to be a preacher. You cannot hire your self to be a minister if you are working for God He does the hiring he does the training, he does the compensating. You must never select your child to be a minister, God does the selection man cannot chose who God should hire many wrong doing are happening in the church because the leaders were hired by man and not GOD. If you want to know if your minister was hired by God just look at his behavior, the Bible said by their fruits you shall know them. When you have done this you will then understand what the Bible means that many are called but few are chosen. Meaning, many want to be preachers, their minds call them to preach, but out of the many who want to be preachers only a few will get the OK from God. When you are chosen by God He gives you a blue print to follow you cannot preach a sermon on your own this also comes from Him. Much blessings to you right now.
