HOW DO YOU PLAY THE GAME? You can tell a lot about a guy, not so - TopicsExpress

HOW DO YOU PLAY THE GAME? You can tell a lot about a guy, not so much the women, by looking at what is written on his t-shirt. You can tell, where he spent his vacation, who his favorite NASCAR driver is, what brands of beverages he likes, is he a hunter or a fisherman and sometimes his philosophy about life. I saw a t-shirt the other day I thought was very interesting. The shirt said: LIFE No timeouts! No substitutions! No half time! I guess the thing that amazed me most about the shirt was, it was right. You see, no one else can play the game of life for us. Life moves on every second of every day whether we like it or not. On a daily basis, we all have joy, sadness, troubles, satisfaction and the list goes on and on. But, we don’t have to play the game of life alone. God is with us during each of those fleeting seconds. He is there to rejoice with us in our joy. He is there comfort us when we have troubles. He sent the indwelling Spirit to the believer to be a counselor and a comfort. “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:16-18 I cannot make it day to day in my life without my relationship with God through Christ. I tired the other way. I made a complete and total mess. And then I read these words, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 I put Christ on my team. I did what he asked and he did give me rest. Father God, I come this morning with great joy and thanksgiving for all of the blessings You have given me. I know whatever life may throw at me today, You are with me. Thank You for loving us enough to give Your Son for us. This we pray in Jesus name. And the saints said…Amen and Amen.
