HOW I WILL VOTE AND WHY? ======================== My country - TopicsExpress

HOW I WILL VOTE AND WHY? ======================== My country never saw real government commitment to its people for over 35 years. Anyone who is below 40 years knows that town roads moved from bituminus to bumpy and to gravel. For all these years, Zambia remained with only 4 main interlink roads. For all these years Zambia had two main Universities. For all these years, UTH remained as the only main hospital. For all these years, we have no airport worthy talking about. The little development usually during elections was only happening in towns for votes. For a number of years Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia was closed, ZNBS and NATSAVE were less becoming loss making institutions. Development was an election song and enveloped in campaign messages only. My hope was fully lost. Villages died. because they became unreachable and culture was being lost day in day out. Electricity and ZNBC was for town people only. Phones were a luxury because mobile providers could not take towers were the market is unmatched with the cost. Well, In the last three years i have seen a different approach to a good number of things that makes people happy. I have seen a Govt with an attachment to see the country develop. I have seen a group of individuals who do not only care about themselves, but men and women who feel they belong to this society and want to play their party to see a Zambia that will be good for all. They say Rome was not built in one day and a journey of 1000 miles starts with one step. I have seen this step, in fact steps. These men and women have committed themselves to building high standard roads to open up the country for more developments and make it easier for the produce to reach the markets in time , schools and universities, hospitals and 675 health posts, New airports and world standard for that matter, these men have recapitalized NCZ, ZNBS, ZAMBIA RALWAYS and NATSAVE to make them save the purpose they were created. These men are putting communucation towers to easy communication and open up ZNBC to allow everyone access to news. These men have committed and are building capacity for ZESCO to make it save its community well. More districts have been opened up to allow development distribution and town roads are being done everywhere and revive the villages that have died due to the loss of hope. I must say I am a happy to be a Zambian and living this time. These are merger steps. I wish for more and I know i have not talked about deep tanks being done in southern province, Mununshi banana plantation being revamped, the pine apples industry being reset up in north western province, Kawambwa tea plantation being reopened. This is good and one which should not be let go. They say if it is not broken, dont fix it. I think this applies here. I think my country is heading in the right direction and I will be voting on these things. Farmers can now expect fertilizer from their own Zambian company and on time. One good thing about all these is that these men never waited for elections to start and these are not promises anymore, these are things turned into what we can see and point at. Much more is needed because this country requires this constant and never ending improvement, and even more is needed for those taking over the leadership. Let them continue to feel the society needs respond to everything that will make Zambia a country we all want to live in with committed and caring leadership. Be open to those with different views, just in case, they have a better idea. I HAVE A GOOD REASON TO SUPPORT THEIR CAUSE. THIS IS AS IT SHOULD BE. So to those who have a different view and how they intend to vote, share with us what your ideas are. I have left technical issues in my opinion, but i will share them soon
