HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO REPENT? More often...Repenting to me is like having fresh air for the soul. Repenting is to moment that we have to experience a fresh his grace. A great reminder this morning to always makes sure we are not fallen a short of his grace. Do not let our sins robbed us from experiencing the power of Jesus grace...Jesus taught his disciples that there are no ranks in sinning. One sin is no more evil or less evil than another. No more worst sinner, and less sinner than anyone else. The decree of our actions may be various from one another, but we are all sinners needing of repentance. Jesus gave the warning to the Galileans, unless you repent you too will perish. This is a strong statement, but repentance is the way forward. To repent is to give yourself a chance to correct our sins, our attitude, our behavior to be in line with God’s heart. Repentance gives us a chance to do all that we can to see that we bear the kind of fruits in my life that God is looking for. Jesus gave a powerful illustration of a man with a fig tree in his yard. The man was disappointed because there were no fruits on the tree. He wanted to cut it down. It was taking up space and was using up the soil. But his servant was asking to leave it alone for one more year and he will dig around it and fertilize it. And bear fruits the following year, great, if not, then cut it down… The good news about repentance is the opportunity for us to experience GRACE again. Jesus is here in our lives. We may not have been fruitful and heading for trouble, but Christ does plead our case to the father so we may have a chance to be whom we supposed to be. Thank Jesus for the grace extend it so we may again live in his grace. However the grace of God will not wrestle with us forever if we insist on doing our own thing. I want to always be repenting instead of hardening and being unchanged. Father please help me to quickly repent and makes things right in my own life. Thank you for giving me grace when I don’t deserve it. Thank you Jesus. Amen! (Luke 13:1—9)
