HOW OUR MPS HAVE FAILED TO WALK THE TALK im writing this article with pure humility responding to apost written by Hon MUGERA ROSE about the duties of an mp.in apurely democratic set up ,we all know that an mp is mandated by constitutional authority to exercise legislative power .He is adictum of ahub of democratic leadership to the state,to his party and to his constituent.But it seems they do the opposite contradicting their roles.to mention afew roles ,cardinally is that they are agents btn the state and the people whom they represent as informers,debate matters of public policy .policies,and realisation of peoples aspirations.in simple condrum,they are the principle(state)- agent (constituents)systenm of democracy.but our leaders here always reverse that notion .instead they assume as if they were heads of each family in apuristic material giving,chant slogans of heroes and create patronage cults as disciples and saviors of human misery apratice that spouts fear,suspicion and hatrade in our society.
