HOW SATAN LOST THE WAR IN HEAVEN We all know that Satan was thrown out of heaven by Jesus when he sinned and tried to pollute the Holy Place with sin. We read this in Revelation 12:7-9 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him". (KJV) Have we ever wondered how Satan was defeated when he was a powerful and anointed angel? How was Michael able to defeat this powerful adversary? The answers are found in the bible and only Jesus can teach us the hidden truth behind every incident recorded in the bible. Firstly, Satan did not fight Michael alone. The bible tells us that Satan fought against Michael and his angels. We read in Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels". (KJV) When I say that Satan did not fight Michael was alone, it does mean that Michael had his angels with him. Michael had 3 people with him when we fought Satan. The 3 people are the FATHER, SON and the HOLY GHOST. The bible tells us in 1John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one". (KJV) We read in Ezekiel 28:12 "Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty". (KJV) and also in Ezekiel 28:16 "By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire". (KJV) It wasn’t Michael who threw Satan out of Heaven, but it was Jesus. Secondly, Satan found it difficult to fight 4 people at the same time. It is impossible for a single man to take on 4 people out of which 3 are stronger than him and win the fight. The same fate happened to Satan. The 3 people who were the FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST were much stronger and more powerful than Satan. If we read about this incident in Ezekiel 28:14 "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire". (KJV) Satan was given power to be in the holy mountain of Jesus and also walked on stone of fire. But Michael was a warrior angel. In Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels". (KJV) it is being mentioned that Michael fought with Satan. When Michael got the strength and power from the FATHER, SON and the HOLY GHOST, he was able to defeat Satan in the war. In the same way, if we have the FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST within us, Satan cannot defeat us or take control of us. But he takes control of us when we are alone as he is the strongest of the flesh. None of us can stop him from entering into us. We read incident in Luke 22:31 "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat". (KJV) where Jesus tells Peter that Satan wanted him for himself. Simon did not know that Satan wanted him because he was like us, but Jesus knew it. Jesus wants us to protect us from Satan taking control of us, so we can be pure and holy like Jesus and live with Him in Heaven for eternity. When we have the FATHER, SON and the HOLY GHOST, Satan sees us not as a single person but as 4 people. At once he knows that he cannot defeat us no matter how hard he tries. This is the reason why we must read the bible to know who we have and what they can do. If we don’t, then we will be separated from Jesus and will go to hell.
