HOW TO BUILD Your NETWORTH Using Your NETWORK Thank you Sir for paying the price to gain wisdom and for giving me the rare privilege to be mentored and guided under your watchful eyes. The lives you have touched (mine inclusive) on this platform will eternally be credited to your networth. I am also happy to be associated with the grace on your life and ministry. I’m glad that on this platform, I am being exposed to other fields of specialization especially the banking industry. In no time from now, I’ll be well rounded and better positioned to take on my world no matter the form my challenges take. KEY POINTS: 1. My networth is the sum total of my assets less the sum total of my liabilities i.e all I own less all I owe. 2. My networks are my relationships (human resources). Something you said Sir that I found both striking and funny. That is; ‘...whenever I give out a favor, I create an obligation towards me. By so doing, I have succeeded in increasing my assets and increasing the other man’s liability’. Who in the real sense of the word wants his liabilities increased? But some people prefer receiving favors to giving them. If only they realize for a split second that they are perpetually indebted to other people and not having anyone indebted to them. Until I discover my gifting and talents, I can never serve effectively. I cannot discover my gifting and talents until I deliberately throw my weight into service. While in service, I begin to discover those things I do with ease and joy even when I am not paid for the services I render. That is a pointer to my gifting. It is in service that I can build my networks. It is also in service that I can zero my liabilities. God does not bless idleness. If ever He does, the anointing for being idle will be doubled. One cannot serve effectively without love as the foundation for that service. Just as you said Sir, that, God is committed to prosper such a one that exhibits love. Finally, I realized that building my network requires deliberate consistent work and/or act of favor. I also realized that the ROI for my goodwill transcends my generation to my children even to my fourth generation. My goodwill also, I can convert to cash whenever I choose. Thank you Sir for requiring a summary from every audio CD we listen to.
