HOW TO FOLLOW UP ( Acts 2: 41-47) When you have led a soul to Christ your responsibility does not end. You have a spiritual baby, and that baby needs help if it is to go with a grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. There are seven things that you can do that will help the new Christian to grow spiritually. (1) Give him the bible,if he does not have one. (2) Explain about the Bible and show them how they work... (3) Now show him how he can know that he is saved. ( I John 5: 13) as you take him through the note be sure to look up each Scripture reference and point out that we have a "now salvation." (4) Now turn to Acts 5:29,start him out rigth,stress the fact that we are to obey the Lord in all things. (5) Lead him or invite him to your church,sit with him, and when the invitation is given, ask him to go forward with you to make a public profession of faith in Christ (Matt. 10:32). (6) Encourage him to witness." Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." (Ps. 107:2). (7) Now help him to learn more and as time goes he should be in the church,with a doctrinal foundation on which to continue to grow spiritually. And by now he should be involved in Evangelism. He is ready to GO WITH THE GOSPEL.....
