HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY BY PASTOR CHRIS (Personal Summary) Introduction Every moment of prayer is an investment in eternity and true prayer is a romance of righteousness. Prayer helps to season our spirits as a dependable receptacle for Gods Spirit and power. Then we can connect to His visions, ideas and leadings more easily in order to change the world. When we pray, we make tremendous power available, dynamic in its working, causing changes in our favour. It is Gods earnest desire to have a rich, vibrant and enduring fellowship with His children. THE PRAYER OF FAITH. This prayer involves making a request to God and speaking to circumstances in order to make them conform to our desires, without doubts in our hearts. In prayer of Faith, believing is a fundamental requirement for having our desires met when we pray. (Mark 11:22-24) We are to believe that we have received right at the point of praying, and we would have our request. This is Faith. Principles : 1.) There must be a specific desire : Specificity is an essential principle if you must get effective results through the prayer of faith. You are to address the mountain and tell it what to do. That means you are not going to be telling God to do something about your situation. You are to talk to the situation. 2) See the Unseen: You should be able to visualise your desire, and its only when your desire is specific that you can see it. Because you cant possess what you cant see. (2 Corinthians 4:18). The extent of your vision is the boundary of your blessing. To see the unseen doesnt mean being optimistic. It actually means to see the way God sees, and speak of the physically non-existent as though they already existed. (Romans 4:17) 3) Use Your Evidence : Hope is a great virtue, its a fundamental spiritual principle that arrays the magnificent future. But faith is the substance of this hoped for; its the evidence that substantiates the future. 4) Dont doubt when youve prayed : When youve prayed for something its important not to allow doubts into your heart. Doubt makes us keep asking for the same thing over and over again for the fear of not being heard the first time. For each time you repeat yourself, you invalidate your previous request. 5) What you say is what you get: Maintaining the right confession is another important prerequisite where the prayer of faith is concerned. Thus, you agree with and say what God says about you or your situation. Words are powerful, they are the vehicles of your thoughts. They can affect your body, circumstances, and your entire life.
