HOW WILL YOU REFLECT ON THIS DAY? Today I have the opportunity to remember and reflect during a Fox 40 TV, KFRA interview with Kitty, a luncheon, an afternoon training, and finish at Capital Christian Center tonight honoring first responders. The 9/11 terrorist attack on the US was almost surreal. Flying in the only plane in the sky, escorted by fighter planes to get us there, the Family Assistance Center with over 5,000 victims, hundreds of officers, and Chaplains, the ash at Ground Zero that was up to our knees. Amazed at the beautiful blue sky, over the gray, black, and colorless scene. More important, I was privileged to be a vessel of God bringing Hope. To remind our fellow Americans that we will get through this, together. I witnessed God’s Love shower people, in people, for people, because of people. I shared in song, prayer, and “touch” for those who were too afraid to speak, or think beyond their anguish. I trained others who came to Ground Zero to help, with the “Here am I” attitude”, to help, not harm others by word or action. I will be sharing this day with my family and friends in gratitude to my God for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I believe it was Emerson who said, that it is at the darkest hour when we see the most stars. I will honor this day for those who lost their lives due to both the terrorist attack and on the field of battle, I will dedicate time and energy to “Pledge Allegiance to the Flag”, sing, “God Bless America” loud and strong, and thank God for this “Greatest Nation on Earth!” I will honor the day with a prayer for all those who silently weep in agony on that day. “…for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me” ~Psalm 23:4 How will you reflect on this day?
