HOW WILLING ARE YOU TO REJOICE AND COUNT YOURSELF WORTHY TO SUFFER SHAME FOR THE NAME OF JESUS? This is a great challenge for the modern day disciple of Jesus. To be named with Christ in this 21st Century is to be willing SUFFER FOR HIS NAME SAKE, YET REJOICING AND CONSIDER IT WORTHY...wow, Lord help me to have this heart. I need to be reminded of this. TO LOVE JESUS IS TO BE HATED BY THE WORLD, TO LOVE THE WORLD IS TO BE AN ENMITY WITH JESUS...I choose Christ...How many of us will love to bare this testimony like that of the disciples? THEY REJOICE THAT THEY HAD BEEN CONSIDERED WORTHY TO SUFFER FOR HIS NAME. This is a powerful testimony. The disciples were in trouble with the religious leaders. While their fate has been decided by the council of the pharisees, Gamaliel a Pharisee respected by many came to their rescue...This is what Gamaliel said...Men of Israel, BE CAREFUL what you are about to do to these man... There were others like them, who make claims and they all suffered. They failed. And these fellows too will fail IF what they are doing is of HUMAN ORIGIN. What we do in life will always be tested. If what we are doing is originated from our own minds and desires they will doomed to fail. Because its about us. Its about our own ability. Its about our reputation...its about my fame and success. However, the only things that will last forever no matter what difficulties it goes through...no matter how difficulties keeps pounding on it, IF THE FOUNDATION IS OF GOD...then nothing will be able to OVERTHROW IT, NOTHING WILL DESTROY IT, NOTHING WILL BREAK IT, NOTHING WILL BRING IT DOWN... Great word from Gamaliel...Jesus said, that he will build his church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it...Jesus said to build your house of the solid rock, so that when the wind, the waves and storms pounds on it, IT WILL STAND... God wants us to continue to build on him. Stand on him! So that whenever comes nothing will be able to take you down. STAND ON HIS FOUNDATION! REJOICE AND COUNT YOURSELF WORTHY TO SUFFER SHAME FOR HIS NAME...AMEN! (Acts 5:33--42)
