HOWLING OF THE WIND, CRASHING OF THE WAVES, RAINS BATTERING AGAINST US, WHERE IS OUR HOPE?????????? As He has written in His Word, Jhn 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. So many things we go through in this life and when we are presented with our problems who, what, where is it that we run to? If we have given our lives to Christ, then be assured that His Spirit is going to teach us through the very things that seem to hold us down. He shall bring revelation to our minds and eyesight to our eyes, He will also enable our ears to hear. Much of this takes place within us, are we able to realize this truth while we are going through these things in life? 1Co 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. We may have been taught some things in this life by pure survival instincts, even as we listened to the spirit of this world, this is how we moved. However, as the Spirit of the Lord presented himself to us, we learn to disregard the things which we once held onto. Life is a process of learning and being obedient unto His Spirit. The very things we loved to do, have now become things that we no longer want to do, or are they? Jhn 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If we are being built upon the Word of God, then we will become more like him in spirit. Jesus was always looking for ways to please the Father and was listening for the direction which he must travel in. He was empowered by the Spirit to do His will and He knew Him because they were always in conversation together as one. We have been left the Spirit of God and thus, we have been enabled to what we would not normally do. 1Ti 6:17 ¶ Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 1Ti 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 1Ti 6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. We are building upon the foundation of Christ and what we build shall be tried and tested. If it should with stand the pressures of life, then it is well. If however, it falls, then who shall we call to rebuild what has fallen? Ecc 3:1 ¶ To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Let us give thanks, this day for everything that we go through. For the love of God which continues to reach out to us and for the Spirit who teaches us all that we must know in hopes that we would grasp hold of the truth in Christ Jesus, our Lord & Saviour. Father God we may suffer many heartaches, pain, sorrow, but as our hearts continue to seek out thy Spirit, let thy Word be etched into our hearts that we would not depart far from it. Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Thy Spirit is even now, capable of, moving upon our lives that we may find liberty, peace, and joy. Lord thou art our hope, faith, & love let us be found continuing therein, in Jesus name we pray, amen. 1 THESS. 4 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
