HR - Head of Compensation and Benefits Unit Zain Set Compensation and Benefits Unit performance objectives, in coordination with Human Resources Operations and Strategy Management and Corporate Performance Departments, and continuously monitor progress and development towards organizational and Unit strategic objectives and communicate periodic performance reports to provide evaluation results and recommend improvements Develop and implement Compensation and Benefits Unit policies and procedures in order to ensure the fulfillment of organizational requirements whilst delivering high-quality services Carry out the day-to-day operations of the Compensation and Benefits Unit, provide expertise, encourage teamwork and align work processes to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and engage employee in a motivated work environment Contribute and ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through the supervision of the Compensation and Benefits Unit, set individual objectives, manage performance, develop and motivate staff, provide formal and informal feedback and appraisal, and provide guidance on training programs for employees in order to maximize subordinate and Unit performance Ensure alignment of compensation and benefit structure with corporate strategy and culture to avoid any gaps or unfairness in pay Implement, maintain and review compensation and benefit scheme based on grading scheme to administer salary adjustments accordingly Conduct compensation and benefits surveys at the national and international level to support setting the pay strategy as to whether the company wants to lead, lag or be equal to the market in pay, to attract potential candidates and retain the current workforce Conduct an employee compensation and benefits benchmarking exercise with relevant comparators in the market to ensure external competitiveness of compensation Develop, implement and review a market benchmarked variable pay plan to ensure that employees’ performance is differentiated and rewarded objectively Liaise with Payroll and Finance to provide input for Payroll Prepare annual Compensation and Benefits cost plan and budget according to Manpower plans Plan and implement merit/promotion increases in a fair and transparent manner to promote a healthy culture Provide salary offers to new hire based on salary scale and update supervisor in case any amendments are suggested or recommended Manage medical insurance providers, claims and enrollment and follow up with insurer to guarantee best services are offered to Zain IQ employees Coordinate annual benefit events such as vacations and trips Supervise employee telephone lines and packages and report any irregularities Reflect Compensation and Benefits changes in Oracle system and maintain accuracy Prepare monthly/annually headcount reports to submit to management Develop and maintain payroll accounts Analyze and evaluate time sheets for payroll and submit to concerned for administration Input payroll related information into system to keep records updated at all times Supervise exceptions including deferred payments, keep records, and maintain confidentiality Coordinate and submit payroll files to Finance for final submission to banks Manage and follow up employee expenses and reimbursement in coordination with Finance on monthly basis Handle all employee requests from all business/functional units regarding payroll issues Skills Serving our Customers Achievement Driven Team Work Information Seeking Team Management Problem Solving and Creativity Relationship Building Initiative Human Resources Management Human Resources Management Oral Communication Written Communication Negotiation Managing Information Technology Application Contract Administration and Legal Proficiency Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment
