Afghanaid’s work is guided by four pillars: Pillar one - Basic Services for All – WASH, Education and Community Infrastructure; Pillar two- Economic Opportunities, Sustainable Livelihoods and Food Security; Pillar three-Humanitarian Emergencies and Disaster Risks Reduction and Cross-cutting Themes- Gender Equality, Governance and Community Development Afghanaid uses a rural integrated approach to community development including agriculture and livestock production and micro-enterprise development with gender equality, good governance and disaster risk reduction as cross cutting themes. In 1995, Afghanaid became one of the first NGOs working in Afghanistan to shift from humanitarian relief to recovery and development, through participatory community recovery and development programming. Over time, Afghanaid has progressively contributed to the MDGs development ambitions through an integrated community development programme, reaching 1.2 million people across 21 districts of Badakhshan, Samangan, Ghor and Nuristan provinces. With 415 staff members, of whom 97% are local, Afghanaid’s present set-up is comprised of a lean, registered London office , a main office in Kabul, three provincial offices in Samangan, Badakhshan and Ghor; and 18 district offices spread over all three provinces. Afghanaid applies internationally accepted standards in its project, financial and human resource management practices Duties & Responsibilities: Job Purpose and Role HR Assistant is responsible to assist the HR Officer in overall management of HR activities. She will be responsible for management of all databases. Specific Duties and Responsibilities HR Basics: To ensure all personnel files are properly set and all necessary documents are placed in the file. To ensure all required information of staff are computed in pre-established database. Daily maintain of staff attendance sheet and ensure all staff is properly and timely sign the attendance sheet. Staff Recruitment: To ensure that all announcements are uploaded to concern websites, email to provinces and send the hard copy to ACBAR offices Collecting and sorting the applications/CVs and submitted to HR Officer To ensure all short listed candidates are called for written test and interview and arrangements done on timely manner Assist HR Officer in checking of references of the selected candidates. Staff Insurance: Make sure all staff medical claim computed in standard form Staff Leave: Maintaining Head Office staff leave record Miscellaneous: Maintaining and controlling Human Resource CVs bank in a proper way and timely manner Assist HR Officer in translating of some HR documents. Assist Liaison Assistant regarding staff visa, work permit and Tax Identification Number process Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent additional related training.
