HS Boys Basketball Results vs. TroyThe Buffalo basketball teams traveled to Troy on November 25th to take on the Trojans in pre-holiday basketball action. The JV-B team started out with some hot shooting by Tyler Heine to take a nice lead into halftime. Unfortunately, the Trojans tightened their defense and held the Buffs scoreless in the third quarter. The game stayed close, but the Trojans ended up winning by two points. The JV-A squad displayed their tough defense, led by several blocked shots from Matthew Edgar, and never gave the Troy team a chance. Great team play and solid defense were the keys in a 37-8 rout of the Trojans. The Varsity team closed out the nights contests with a scrappy performance. The game went back and forth with neither team being able to dominate. Alfredo Pena led the Buffs in scoring and gave the Trojans trouble with his three-point accuracy. At the end of regulation the score was tied and overtime was needed. The Buffs continued to fight hard in the extra period, but missed free throws continued to plague them, and Troy ended up escaping with a hard fought victory. The Varsity and JV-A teams will bring their games to the Florence gym on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd, against the visiting Bartlett Bulldogs.
