HSE Officer/ HSE Executive for Jyoti Structures Limited in Kenya, South Africa & Uganda Experience: 3 to 7 yrs. | Opening(s): 3 The candidate should also perform the following duties: A. Health & Safety Management; Developing Health and safety Management plan and oversee implementation of the same as per the guidelines. Conduct safety inspections/audits, Occupational health surveys, surveillance and field auditing for compliance. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly status reports to monitor the compliance. Devise and implement Emergency Response Plan for in-plant operations. Participate and lead in change management, HAZOP study and Risk assessments. Conducting investigation of all incidents/ Occupational health issues and suggests recommendations. Developing Contractor safety Management guidelines and number of safety motivational / training programs for improved safety culture within organization. B. Environmental Management : Overseeing establishment, certification and maintenance of the system and the required documents as per Environmental Management system. Reviewing policies /procedures and suggest improvements. Implementing waste management system and reduction measures, waste & waste water monitoring and control. Ensuring environment legislative requirement compliance and documentation. Update and ensure the compliance to legal requirements of Environmental issues. Developing and ensuring adherence to operational environ. Standards, compliance assurance and documentation. C. Fire Protection/Loss Prevention: Coordinating and advising on fire fighting facilities/equipment management. Schedule/plan, functional testing, periodical maintenance, etc., Conducting audits / mock drills to ensure the fire prevention measures are in place and to identify the areas for improvement. Organizing training for the personnel on emergency preparedness. Preparing of Pre fire plans and mitigation measures, such as procurement of various equipment, organizing mutual aid, etc., D. Documentation: Compilation, collation and analysis of monthly reports. Overseeing preparation of necessary documents as per regulatory requirement. Making documents of fire protection systems testing and inspection. Manage process hazards analysis documents for revalidation. Preparing budget proposal and controlling the budget. E. Training: Imparting Safety induction training, permit to work training, chemical handling as well as portable gas detectors training to all supervisors. Training of personnel for use of fire protection systems, Occupational health, emergency preparedness, etc. Conduct training on Plant evacuation.
