HSE (Seismic) Operations Manager Fircroft Kenya Ref: KP508-346 Fircroft The Role Our client, a leading international oil and gas exploration and production company, are looking to appoint an experienced HSE Operations Manager, specifically with Seismic Operations experience and a focus on exploration, to join their team based in Kenya. Typically this person will work closely with the HSE and Drilling and Geophysical teams, external contractors and service providers, joint venture partners and HSE consultants. Providing an in country focal point for all operational HSE activities. This person will come from an Operator environment, a motivated self starter with a genuine passion for HSE.A flexible and proactive approcah to work with excellent team player skills. Key Role/Responsibilities: * Functional supervision of Seismic HSE QC Representatives, Drilling HSE Superintendents, Civils HSE Superintendents and Trainee HSE Superintendents at all operational sites * Management of in-field HSE activities * Provide advice on the development of HSE systems and procedures in support of exploration activities. * To provide assurance to the Kenya management team on compliance with regulatory requirements. * To provide assurance through audit processes that HSE requirements are being achieved. * To monitor Contractor performance and provide assurance of compliance with Contractor procedures. * Manage the development of Trainee HSE Superintendents *Coordinate HSE aspects of operational sites, including risk assessments, approvals, inspections, audits, drills, training and workforce awareness * Implement Corporate HSE initiatives across operational sites * Monitor compliance with HSE policies and procedures * Monthly compilation and reporting of HSE information and statistics * Implement Kenya`s incident investigation and reporting requirements. * Support local management in ensuring that actions arising from incidents and HSE audits are identified, resolved and closed out * Provide an appropriate level of HSE Supervision to contracting companies in managing their operations and perform HSE verification compliance of contractors. * Ensure adequate HSE support to operational activities in terms of personnel, equipment and other resources as required. * Conduct frequent visits to operational sites providing support and site cover when required. Remuneration: Attractive base salary, relocation, mobility and uplift premiums, plus additional benefits. Requirements Key Skills/Attributes: * Degree qualification * NEBOSH qualified * Onshore exploration experience essential * Seismic Operations experience essential * Experience of managing HSE in remote operations * Knowledge of identification and control measures of operational risks/hazards in operational sites * Demonstrated knowledge and experience on the development and roll-out of HSE management systems in accordance with recognized international standards * Able to manage HSE activities in multiple locations with minimal supervision, splitting time between office and field environments * Adaptable in fast changing environments and able to deliver results through a pragmatic and positive approach * Motivates and influences others in the delivery of good HSE performance * Thorough knowledge of HSE regulatory standards and compliance, and technical EHS
