HUDSON V. THE CITY OF LAURELL ELECTION CONTEST Today, I will be attenting court at 11:00 on my election contest. I will be defending my rule 60 (b)(3) in front of Judge Breland Hilburn. I have heard that the United State Department of Justic is in Missisippi for the election in Hattisburg. I truly wish they could tell this judge that the Legislature has provided no exemption from the performance of election related duties by the Circuit Clerk during an eletion cycle even if the Clerk himself is a candidate in that election. This hearing will include the Optical Marking Recorder machine for paper ballots and the DRE machine. These two machines and tabulation for these two machines are required under MSC 23-15-481 and MSC 23-15-531.4. The Courts wants the me to believe that the Clerk was not bound by law to perform these duties. Since a Court Official decided to contact the media and give the information they wanted I wonder will they be there to hear my pleading. Our elections are important and laws have been put in place to protect the intigrity of our election. Please pray for me and justice. We must get this right.
