HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the amazing Lorraine Young! She ran her first ever 10k today, at the hilly Carrboro 10k (230 ft of elevation gain). Oh yeah...SHE SET THE ALL-TIME NORTH CAROLINA MASTERS 10k RECORD! Her time of 36:57 broke the previous mark set in 1989. While I am her coach, its kind of like coaching a Saturn V rocket. I just try to make sure there is fuel in the tank and then watch as she does amazing things. Thanks for being an inspiration Lorraine!
