HUGE HUGE AMAZING THANK YOU to Chicago White Sox outfielder, Michael Taylor, for reaching out to Camden! Michael was recently acquired from the As and added to the White Sox 40-Man roster and was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes in the 4th grade. He heard about Camdens diagnosis from Andy Wilkins (White Sox 1st Baseman who just happens to be married to our neighbor, Hopes, sister, Charity Lynn Wilkins!) And in a little chill-bump twist, Michael is #51 and that is also Camdens #!!! :) Anyway, he sent Camden an incredibly motivating and encouraging...and very personal...letter! He also sent him a baseball signed by the entire Charlotte Knights (White Sox AAA) team as well as all their baseball cards...and a Tshirt also! He gave Camden his phone number, email and twitter name and encouraged him to contact him if he ever wanted to talk or needed someone to listen about T1! WHO DOES THAT?????? This man has blessed my heart more than you can ever imagine! As a parent, for a professional athlete to take time out of his life/day and reach out to my son was....well I cant even put it into words! Camden wore his shirt to school today and is taking the letter/baseball on Friday for show & tell! THANK YOU, Mr. Taylor, for representing professional sports, and just humanity in general, in such a positive way! While I cannot betray my Texas Rangers and become a full on White Sox fan, I will certainly be rooting for my 2nd favorite #51 no matter what!
