HUNTSVILLE UTILITIES NEWS RELEASE April 28, 2014 HUNTSVILLE UTILITIES CREWS ON STANDBY FOR POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER ISSUES Huntsville Utilities is on standby for the severe weather conditions that are developing and approaching the Huntsville/Madison County area. HU officials have been communicating with the Madison County EMA and the local National Weather Service office concerning the weather situation. Crews are prepared to respond as quickly as possible if there are outages. With the combination of abundant spring foliage and high winds, outages are expected. If service interruptions occur, dial 256-53-LIGHT (5-4448) to report.
