Priory Hurworth House School is a specialist day school for up to 40 boys and girls aged 7 to 19 years, who have complex learning requirements including BESD and ASD. Young people may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their difficulties. Priory Hurworth House aims to deliver the highest level of education tailored to individual needs in a safe, positive, structured environment where every student is encouraged to achieve the best possible academic, social and vocational outcomes. Priory Pines House is a specialist residential service providing care, therapy and education for up to 16 boys and girls aged 7 to 19 who have complex learning requirements including BESD and ASD, and associated psychological difficulties. Young people may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their difficulties. The recently refurbished development is part of Priory’s specialist education and acute service and has been specifically designed to accommodate young people with complex needs in order to provide an integrated therapeutic, care and education service with an onsite school. Due to expansion of our service, Priory Hurworth House School has a vacancy for a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our busy team. As a Senior Maintenance Technician you will undertake regular inspections and audit of buildings, equipment, machinery, fixtures and fittings in accordance with planned maintenance schedules. You will undertake and/or supervise the completion of routine maintenance operations and remedial repairs in accordance with planned maintenance schedules ensuring work complies with operational standards and statutory regulations. You will respond to unplanned events, undertake emergency inspections, and routine repairs for which you are approved to undertake, ensuring any remedial action complies with operational standards and statutory regulations. You will also monitor and inspect work completed by the Maintenance team and contractors, ensuring repairs, installations, refurbishments and other maintenance complies with operational standards and statutory regulations. You will also ensure inspection certificates and maintenance records are accurate, up-to-date and comply with operational standards and statutory regulations.
