HUSBAND & WIFE ARRESTED FOR PEDDLING CONTRABAND SUBSTANCES: Jorethang Police on 22/07/2014 arrested one Sanjay Subba (30 yrs) and his wife Manika Pradhan @ Tara (32 yrs) of Gairigaon, Jorethang, South Sikkim for peddling contraband substances. The duo had been peddling contraband substances to the local youth from their residence at Gairigaon, Jorethang. 163 bottles of R-COF cough syrup, 20 files of Nitrosun-10 tablets, 348 capsules of Spasmo-proxivon capsules and cash Rs. 1580 were recovered from their possession. A case u/s 7/9/14 of SADA (Amendment), 2011 has been registered against the husband & wife and is under investigation.
