HUZZAH! It appears as though the Chappy Ferry page is working again after a month of barely working at all. For this, we have Darren Belisle of Edgartown to thank. Darren is a computer guru among professions. He went through issue after issue today, masterfully and calmly, zeroed in on the main problem, and solved it like Alladin. We don’t generally endorse people or things on this page, but we heartily recommend Darren to anyone on the Vineyard having problems with his or her computer, social media or the Internet ([email protected] / 508-654-3255). All our thanks to Darren, who is affordable too! Next, thanks to Carl Treyz for sharing this extraordinary photo of the Cape Pogue Lighthouse at sunrise. Carl, many of you will recall, has sent us startling video tours of Chappaquiddick, Massachusetts, taken from a quad-copter. He tells us that he’s shot footage of the Chappy ferry from above and will share that with us too, when its ready. Also, because of all the problems we’ve had here over the last four weeks, we have a backlog of fine photographs and good stories to post, as well as pictures that we ought to file in our albums, and news (of a Chappaquiddick flavor) to break. We’ll do all these things slowly so that A) we don’t overwhelm you and B) we don’t die trying. If all goes well, we’ll be caught up in the next couple of weeks.
