HWNJUSTICE: Several tenants filed a lawsuit against their landlord after he prohibited them from urinating while standing, court documents filed in Germany have revealed. However, a court in Duesseldorf, has now ruled that the tenants of the rented apartment can stand while urinating in their own bathroom and not worry about the damage their actions might cause. The District Court ruled in favor of the tenants suing the owner of the apartments for a full refund of their 3,000 euro ($3,370) deposits. According to reports, the owner wanted to keep the deposits, claiming that the marble floors of the bathrooms was permanently stained with urine due to the tenants standing while urinating instead of sitting down. The judge, however, agreed with the report of an expert who confirmed that the urine had destroyed the marble, but said that standing while urinating is to be expected.
