Ha! I am vindicated! A few days ago the camera app on my phone stopped working. I decided that maybe it was because there were too many pictures in the album/file which was on an SD Card. The card had 2826 pictures and I didnt need most of them anymore anyway. BUT... Every time I tried to delete the pics, they magically reappeared on my phone. I unsynced Google+ and Picasa, but still they reappeared. I tried connecting to my computer and deleting them through Windows Explorer, but they reappeared. I put the phone in airplane mode and deleted them and still they reappeared. I asked Samsung Support for help through Twitter and THEY couldnt come up with any answers. My son had me go through a file program on the phone and delete them... But they reappeared. He tried something else (he didnt try to explain - its a techie thing) but they reappeared. I reformatted the card, which is supposed to delete everything... but nothing changed. I took the card out and put it in my computer and tried to delete everything, but all remained the same. I couldnt reformat on my computer, so my husband put it in his computer and reformatted it. When I put it back in my phone, nothing had changed. He was convinced that it had all been stored in my phone and the phone just put it back on the card (never mind that theres 32G of stuff on the card and thats the total memory capacity on my phone where I have other stuff stored). I had him take it and do it again. At this point I was convinced I had a bad card. He reformatted the card and gave it back to me. I put it in the computer instead of the phone. My computer showed everything was the same. It also showed that it was read only/write protected (something I did NOT do). He put it back in his computer and it wasnt showing up at all. In the meantime, without the card, the pictures are no longer on my phone and the camera is working (hence the pictures of the lights). Sam continued to work on it, and finally he said, I think youre right. Theres something wrong with the card. While all this was going on, a lot of the suggestions I was getting from husband, son and tech support were for things that Id already tried to no avail. Sometimes I got the impression they didnt think I was doing it right, but now its clear that I was. So, I may not be a total techie, but I am functional... And I have a bad card. Sams getting me a new one.
