Haai ja ne. So today is my first day back at work. I walk into the building holding my bag and vetkoek magwenya on one hand. Security lady: whoooo ausi kante o ja di vetkoek ga di go tswanne waitse. Me: looked at her and asked Why ? Security: you are so beautiful and always dress nice. One wouldnt say you eat vetkoeks. Me: I smiled and said....di tswanna batho ba ba jwang? sisters my mom makes a living ka di vetkoeks. Ilke gidisiwa me di vetkoeks and finished tertiary ka the money ya di vetkoeks. When you look a certain way people have a certain perception about you. I dont think its fair because there is a certain level if standard society expects others to uphold. I am a simple person and like simple things. I am just a girl that grew up in the dusty roads tsA some village next to Botswana boarder. I like simple food like mogodu chesanyama and really dont like restaurant food like di sushis; prawns. I dread going to restaurants. I hate wearing heels and looking all glamour. I mean I do it but I am a tomboy kinda girl. I love my baggy track pants and caps. I dont like city life; its really too busy for me. I want to live in a farm where I can have my own little garden. Play with my kids and run around the yard. Take long works with my hubby and that is great for me I do not. Value money. But understand we need it to survive. I value people more from all different walks of life. Truth is I am more comfortable being around people that are perceived to be of a lesser class than the so called middle or upper class. Most are just fake and too much competition. The lower class are just simple; no competition whatsoever. #dropsmike
