Habari Gani?!!!!!!!!! Today is the fifth day of Kwanzaa that everybody knows...Today we celebrate Nia (purpose)- which deals with restoring our people to our traditional greatness. Hence my post below! Today I challenge each of us to abandon white supremacist lies about our heritage, (and for my White comrades, to abandon the lies youve been told about Black and African people) our culture, our spirituality, our knowledge, our contribution, our history, and our motherland! Our greatest defeat has centered on the mental and psychological colonialism, the enslavement of our minds, that have kept us bonded to oppression through education, politics, economics, and even religion! We are bonded by the belief that we are less than all people who originate from ours, the belief in the fallacies that the oppressors created about our inferiority in order to justify the fallacy of their supremacy. When seeking purpose, it cannot just be a material or physical purpose, we have to seek our divine purposes and universal acceptance and stop looking to the system of our oppression to define who we are and where we must go. We have to ensure that our political, economic, intellectual, and religious cultural values are in line with our direct spiritual connection so that we will be properly guided in our struggle for liberation...but first we have to recognize our bondage and that which bonds us! I am the rule and not the exception! Heri Za Kwanzaa!
