Hackman here: Vote! Come to your AGM! Our club is in magnificent shape, so help keep it that way. We have an election this Saturday for members of the Board (including myself and I must admit the other candidates are fabulous so the outcome can only be good) and for members of the Bowls Committee. See Mark Dobson at the bar during this week for postal vote forms, or vote at the club between noon and 6pm this Saturday. Please do vote because it is important you have your say. And come to the Annual General Meeting on Sunday, starting at 11am (just like our late, great mate Johnny Mitchell always did). Lets ensure that the Middle Park Bowls Club continues to evolve. Nothing in the universe is static; everything changes. So, as members, lets keep the club changing for the better. Our club consists of good people, and it is up to us to keep it that way. With our success will come new members. We want to make sure that good people join us. People who give to the club and dont take from it; people who care for other members and dont rip them off. This is the basic tenet of our club song that we are all so proud of. Folks, we now live in the Digital Age. We need to embrace the opportunities, the many advantages that come with this: Social media, mass audience, immediate communication, global access, magenta coloured lawn bowls, you name it. Its all good. Come to the AGM and contribute. See you at The Park!
