Had TWO phone calls from my brother, David, between 0430 and 0630. Does this tell you that something is up?? Besides us, I mean. ;-) I was on break at work for the first call, and just getting home for the second call. Gist of it all is that he talked to Daddy yesterday, and is very concerned because Daddy apparently has wounds on both feet that arent healing well. Good thing Im headed up there tomorrow. Leisure Village isnt going to know what hit them if they arent taking proper care of our daddy!! I will be making sure that there is a HIPPA form on file that allows both David and me to get access to any health questions we might ask of the nursing home, as well as getting a complete list of Daddys medications and doses. He seems VERY confused and spacey when we manage to get him on the phone (which isnt often), so we are thinking that he is probably being over medicated. I plan to get a picture of his meds sheet with my phone, and then e-mail it to David so that he can check them all out, as well as looking for possible drug interactions that may be an issue. Bottom line is that we dont think the nursing home is doing a very good job. Something tells me that Im in for another exhausting weekend in Tulsa. sigh.....
