Had a Lovely Weekend with Dear Friends and Family and On Sunday was Invited By My Very Dear Friend Ann to Judge at her Posh Nags Show at Willow Farm, in Faversham Kent. I have Always Judged Fair and Square, Ive Never Judged Faces!. As Anyone that Knows Me Welsh Ponies are My Passion,Having Bred, Shown and Produced and Judged For Over 35yrs. Ann and I have been Good Friends for over 35yrs. I Always bring an Element of Fun into My Ring, I Like to make sure People are Enjoying the Show and always Tell The Competitors to SMILE and have Fun helping them to ease their nerves.On Sunday The Show was Indoors , Fortunatley , The Indoor Arena was Huge and and the End where the Entrance In was was also The Collecting Ring, So For Competitors To Enter at WALK was Imperrative! It Wasnt a Welsh Show! There was Classes for Everybody, and Many Children The Show was very Friendly, The Competitors were very Polite and Friendly MOST of Them! Everybody was Having Fun and Enjoying Themselves. The Show started 1 hour Late as the Weather was Thick fog over in Kent as usual! We Arrived in Plenty of Time for Our Breakfast and Coffee,Ann Told Us a Few Competitors had Rung Her On their way and were Worried they would Miss Their Classes, So The Decision was Taken To Begin 1 hr Later. As People arrived they were told this by Show Secretary. and Also that classes , were just running on....... The Classes were being Called out and 2 Girlies were even going out into Lorry Park Calling Classes. If Anyone was in Cafe You Could see the Class that was in. As the Small Breed M n M Class was Called to go in The Large Breeds were given a Call to Make their way Down to Collecting Area. so they were ready to come in as Small Breeds came out. When Large Breeds came in The First Call for Concours delegance class was called. There was 1 short in Lge Breeds M n M, so Ann told us to crack on as they Should have been there had enough calls and She had Told People to Check the Rings. Was Lovely to see so many Children waiting for Concours delegance class in Collecting Ring. I turned to see My 2 Competitors in Large Breeds Class when All hell broke loose and shouting behind me All we saw was the children on their Ponies Scatter and someone shouted WALK! TROTTING IN WAS A WELSH SEC D WITH HANDLER WHO PROCEEDED TO CARRY ON TROTTING THROUGH COLLECTING AREA and INTO THE RING, AND DIDNT GIVE A TOSS ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES AND KEPT ON TROTTING A FULL CIRCUIT OF THE RING. Despite Me Shouting out WALK to THEM! What Happened to MANNERS, I was Taught Old School, You Enter the Ring at WALK! and You Respected The Judge and Your Fellow Competitors! WHAT ABOUT HEALTH and SAFETY! Clearly no manners as didnt even Apologise! I Didnt Judge a Stallion They were All Geldings! The 2 Welsh Sec Cs Moved Better in My Opinion I Prefer Welsh Sec D To Power from Bhind and Step and Go with High Knee action Like The Danaway Studs Cobs BUT Manners did come into it. So just for Future Ref You Enter The Show ring at WALK and You Should Leave at WALK. As I dont Judge Faces I didnt know who You WERE Until Inread Your Status So Just To Let Your Friends know what actually happened xxxxx
