Had a bit of spare time today, so figured I would do some tests on the 64 inch plasma I found the other day. Results are in: VS value 6.7Vdc (supposed to be 217Vdc) VA value 0Vdc (supposed to be 55Vdc) PS_ON pin on connector CN801 = 3.3Vdc (within spec, means logic main is sending an ON signal to power supply) So power supply board is the issue, Has blown a Mosfet, blown a diode, and 3 resistors. I am also suspicious of 2 other diodes, and another resistor that is a little to far below spec. All caps on X and Y Sustain boards and buffer boards are within spec and no visual bulging. No apparent faults with logic/main So now I need to decide if I simply replace the entire power supply, or replace the components, but given the extent of the damage, I think I will get a whole power supply out of the states. But long story short. This TV will live again! Also found the date of manufacture. March 2013. So its a little to far out of warranty to bother trying to claim.
