Had a blast representing Space 55 with Charlie Steak tonight at Arizona Art Tank: 2015, Western Region. While we didnt win, there were many outstanding presentations and the winners deserved their prizes (kudos to Orange Theatre for taking home the big prize tonight). Plus: the Queso Good food truck was capital-D Delicious. Only real downside to the evening was getting hopelessly lost for a spell while trying to find the Peoria Center For The Performing Arts (on the upside, the extra driving time gave me an excuse to listen to the new Viet Cong album front-to-back and its pretty badass). And to be frank: it may have been a good thing that we didnt win. The odds are good that I probably would have gone up onstage and started wooooing uncontrollably* like Ric Flair (in front of a pair of senators, no less!) while Charlie tried to salvage our collective dignity. *Just for the record: if I do end up winning any major awards or cash, there is a 90% that I will probably just end up woooing uncontrollably all over the place.
