Had a conversation with a Friend this evening that really made me think. She knows me well and is intimately familiar with the physical hell that has been my life for the last decade and its subsequent emotional and Spiritual misery. She has seen me in some of the worst times Ive endured from months of debilitating nausea and vomiting to surgeries and procedures done in an effort to alleviate the suffering. She has seen Djaingos notoriety grow and our story reach many that have turned away from our Father God for whatever reason and how it has ultimately helped them back into a relationship with Him. She also knows of my end-all desire and goal to help our Veterans by sharing with them the love of a dog of their own through a unique non-profit designed to do so. Knowing all of this, she asked a question never before presented to me and one I havent really given much thought to. Knowing now what you have suffered with for so many years, all of the doubt, fear, and pain caused by your body; and, knowing the lives you have touched as a result of your testimony due to your suffering and your Faith...would you do it again? It honestly took me aback. I wouldnt hesitate for a split-second if somebody asked if I would still Serve knowing what I know now. But, this? To suffer the indescribable hell, the all encompassing misery, the totally debilitating pain, and the fear of the future expecting it to be full of all of this and more? In a heartbeat. Knowing that Djaingo and I have helped even one person make it through to the next day is the most incredible feeling in the world. To know our trials helped even one person claim victory over theirs is humbling to the core. To know even one person has come back to our Savior Christ Jesus and our Father God because of us makes every needle, every hospitalization, every surgery worth it. Thank you, all so very much for giving me a hope and a life I never thought I would have. Thank you, all for the love and support you have so Faithfully and selflessly given Djaingo and I. I sincerely pray you all know you are the reason there is a story...thanks for being a part.
