Had a dream this morning that it was raining. I was on my old street in oak forest in front of my house in the middle of the night sweeping rain into the gutter to keep the street from flooding. After a fruitless effort I decided it was impossible to stop the flood. I walked slowly towards my childhood home. As Im walking from the driveway to the front door along the concrete walkway I see a blue flash of light and immediately I feel the surge if electricity flow through my body. As I fall to the ground I hear the defaming roar of thunder. I writhe in pain as the world goes black. I felt myself dying and the everything dim. I woke up screaming. Still feeling the electricity and still feeling the pain of electrocution. My ears were ringing and the loud echo of thunder still rang in my ears. Lately the fear of being struck by lightning has haunted my waking life and to experience it in a ultra realistic dream state has only heightened this fear even more.. This was just one of a group of devastating dreams I had this morning...
