Had a fabulous day of cleaning up from the party, and helping my daughter create an alien from Jupiter. It was NUTS!!! Here is what we came up with... Jupiter is one of the Gas Giants, so it has no surface to stand on... therefore, our alien has no legs... instead he is a light-weight sponge that floats up into the air and could float on the surface of Jupiter, which is liquid Hydrogen. His name is Farticus Juno. :) He has a body made from sponge to float, both in the air, and on shore, he has a navigation system made from egg cartons, and he has one that lets him navigate up/down, and left/right. He breathes in Hydrogen (pretty much his only option), and he has a magnetic digestive system that secures the Hydrogen from his respiration and transports it to his magnetically oriented digestive system to provide energy. He has a sound system that actually works, and he uses it to warn predators away. He also has a weapon system (duh!!!!), that he uses if the threat does not heed his verbal warning. Pretty cool actually, to have grabbed stuff from the kitchen and refrigerator door,and end up creating an alien named Farticus Juno (because he is a gas product from Jupiter). I hope we get a good grade on this!!! :)
