Had a friend ask me what Rocky was (I invited him to the show on FB and he was like, what?)... This is what I responded with... If you ever need to tell someone what we are, and arent too good with words, feel free to re use this explanation... -/-/-/- We are a shadow cast... We play the movie on screen and act it out on stage... We consider ourselves 90% screen accurate, 10% fun, lol... If you havent seen the movie, its basically a Gay Frankenstein... It was made in 1975 and quickly became a cult classic to those with open minds... Tim Curry is the star of the show and his name is Frank N. Furter... Hes the transvestite/mad scientist who creates Rocky, his lover, lol... Its a story about love, tragedy, cheating, and plain weirdness... It originated in London as a play in the 60s and slowly made its way to on screen and in the US... Since 75, Rocky Horror has been a safe place for those who feel there is no place for them to fit in... White, black, gay, straight, trans, bi, pan, blue, purple, tall, short, fat, skinny, all are welcome and will never be judged... We, the Twisted Misfits Cast, have been a family for sometime now and have been performing for around 10 years... Weve been doing this weekly at the same spot and are transitioning to once a month for a while so the love of Rocky can be reignited... Wed love you have you and anyone you decide to bring along... Its $6 for a ticket and if you choose, $2 for a Rocky bag which provides you with everything you need... Such as cards, toilet paper, noise makers, all that jazz... (we yell call lines from the audience and throw aforementioned items at a specific target in the audience... Its very fun, lol)
