Had a good afternoon up on the Sherwood Park Mounted Archery - TopicsExpress

Had a good afternoon up on the Sherwood Park Mounted Archery range. This is Rod on Fleck. Fleck can be a little turd, but he is so smooth and fun to shoot off that we forgive his shitty attitude (Y) :P Now that the weather is looking a bit better, ie: not snowing or pouring down with rain, and we actually have some time free for the next 4 weeks we might actually be able to get some practice in. The run is 162m from start post to finish post and the targets for today were set 50m apart and 7m off the line. Felt like a looooooooooong time between targets but it was good as it has been a long time since we had a play. These were positioned were our Yabusame posts will go, but closer to the line as per the rules for that discipline. The posts for that will go into the ground with two more a few metres behind and spaced for the cloth arrow catcher to mount to. Still lots of work to do up there to get it ready for December. Bit more tidying up to be done in the camp area, firepit in, horse yards in, build a frame for a canvas roof to go on for the kitchen area, finish the hunt track etc. etc.. I would love to get a Yurt/Ger built in time but not sure I can manage it for this year. We will have at least 1, maybe 2 up there for next year though (Y)
