Had a good conversation last night with Amira Emma Routledge about our personal problems. In our relationship, as well as in life, I have a hard time sharing what I feel. Being an actor, people expect that actors are always on and in my quest to be authentic, I retreated into a place of shyness and timidity and kept my emotions contained. I struggle with being good enough or witty enough or ready for better, bigger things and I worry about Frolick and its reputation. I want to develop the company to be powerful and professional but also grass roots and inclusive. In the end, it was a culmination of things unsaid that caused us to split. So I am making it my mission to live and feel Out Loud - without hesitation. Feeling blessed to have lived and loved so much with such an amazing partner.
