Had a good visit with Mayor Woodward down at city hall on Wednesday. I gave him my idea/proposal I drafted and respectfully requested that he simply hash it over, and of course to feel free to use it if he felt it could help the city. After hearing the synopsis of it, he said he would be happy to give it an in depth look. We spoke about things going on in Fulton, our memories of Fulton, and our respective visions of where we would like to see the city head. It was a good talk, and I hope it was as beneficial to him as it was to me. And yes, we spoke about my expiring term in February on the Planning Commission... and to make some people out there happy who have been asking about it as of late, it appears I will be hanging around for another term. ;-) I have given what I can to the community, and I stand by at the ready to fight the good fight on any front I am called upon. It simply may not be my place to save this city as some of my beloved supporters would think, but simply to usher along the person/people who may be the ones who will save her. That is okay too. It results in the same common goal.. and that is a better community for all! I encourage all of you to get involved. Be it volunteering for some sort of community service, neighborhood watch, or showing up at a Common Council meeting to voice yours and your neighbors concerns, do something to make a difference. Every little action helps to facilitate a big difference. This is YOUR community, dont ever forget that! Have a wonderful day all!
