Had a great conversation with a fellow Horse Nut tonight about barn sour. My suggestion; we backed up to find a few other problems, was to work on softening the shoulder and mouth. Fellow Nut said the horse will put up a fit and near rears upon return and it scares unnamed Nut. I suggested to work on this first and foremost to regain rider control/Im your boss... It will give the horse less control in a situation it doesnt like, if he knows momma is going to kick my butt. Fellow Nut will remain unnamed unless they come forward to ask further questions. Any other suggestions? PS I also emphasized that all our horses are experiencing even worse spring fever then we are currently. I felt sometimes us horse owners have to take one step back to take a trail mile forward! :)
