Had a great day with my mom! A much needed restful, fun, stress free, beautiful day! Started out this am: 1. Went across Onion Mtn, to the end. 2. From there went across Ellijay 3. Went to Judaculla Rock - a curvilinear-shaped outcrop of soapstone with quarry scars and petroglyphs made by the Cherokee Indians! 4. From there we went to Baldwin Lake...through National Forest Park...a long, very interesting drive! Finally ended up at a beautiful little lake that we walked around! Also walked along a beautiful, crystal clear creek! 5. From there we just kept driving....having no idea where we were going or where we were going to end up! It took us through beautiful country roads, high mountains with insanely gorgeous views, and it was amazing! I had a GPS but we never bothered to check it! Finally ended up in Bethel, NC....outside of Waynesville! 6. Went to Mass General Store and found fun things! 7. Finally to Kobe Express for dinner! Yum! 8. Homeward bound and who do we end up in a crazy, face making, goofy race with? My sister and bro in law!! The whole day was filled with lots of laughs, lots of picture taking, wondering where the heck we were (which I could have figured out if I had turned on the GPS but didnt want to! Plus my phone had died and I needed to charge it! Pictures are way more important than knowing where I am!! Hahaha) . maneuvering some of the most crooked, curving roads I have ever encountered....which is a lot...munching on our eccentric picnic foods, and just enjoying feeling the stress leave my body!! Love days like this! No agenda...just get in the car and go....and go....and go!! Thanks for being a good sport mom...even though you did try to get me to backtrack 100 miles for Chinese food!! And for making goofy faces while wearing flowers in your hair as we drive down the road...at cars we passed!! Geez! And people wonder where your daughters get their crazy sense of humor!! Haha! But it was FUN, eventful, enlightening, and definitely adventurous!! Yes....it was a really great day!!
