Had a great day yesterday with Stig at Delapre. Vicky, Jenny and the gang of volunteers did Northampton proud as usual. We got roped into helping tidying up but it was well worth it. A superb family event. And I think we managed to behave ourselves, because even the Mayor and Mayoress of Old Northampton Town, kindly agreed to having their photo taken with Stig, a young medieval archery expert and the new Battle of Northampton painting, by Matt Ryan. What a brilliant painting it is, to be kept in the carriage house for any visitors (I guess) to see whenever, they want. There was obviously no room in the Abbey for it then lol.
