Had a great hunt today! Sure, lots of junky items, and mostly new coins (29 cents comprised of a quarter and four pennies, all Elizabeth), but two half penny tokens (one each from Upper and Lower Canada!), and my first ever US half dime. First pic top left is a rather toasted Bank of Upper Canada half penny token, looks like 1852; middle is the Province du Bas (Lower) Canada 1837 half penny/une sou token, and the 1853 Seated Liberty half dime, also a bracelet formerly belonging to R. Hines. Not a bad day when I can boast not only my oldest coin for the year (the 1837) but also my oldest US silver coin, by about 5 years (I have a Seated quarter somewhere here too, I think 1858). Looking forward to the return visit!
