Had a great visit with Dr. Maleki, the Pain Specialist, he performed hand-eye coordination exams, checked my reflexes, and looked at the incision. There are movements and exercises I may or may not be allowed to do anymore unless Im willing to weigh the risk. I dont want to do anything in the future, months down the road of course, that would put my intestinal and abdominal healing in harms way. We conversed for few hours, getting into necessary conversation, it was well-received :) He said that, pretty much, from years of chronic pain and anxiety, plus a lifetime filled with 15 surgeries and self-induced pressure that has been brought upon me from previous work, school, and intense exercise, that I have a tense, hypersensitive nervous system that could benefit from calming down. I learned a lot of good information today. One of the options he suggested was for me to attend a Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program in which Ill be helped physically, psychologically, and ultimately, they be of great use to my recovery. This doctor is cool. Who knows what the future holds...
