Had a great weekend at the many events that are the hallmark of Spring in Canberra. Picked up a huge pot of basil and some gorgeous bunches of flowers at the Curtin Primary fete on Friday night. Started yesterday by wishing the ACT team the best of luck for the National Boccia competition in Tuggeranong. Then it was off to the St Francis of Assisi fete where I added to my thyme collection and the St Mary of The Valley fair where I picked up records for my dear friend Simon Tatz. Really enjoyed heading to Tharwa to officially open the Capital Field Archers competition, then listening to the Let The Men Sing concert afterwards. Four hundred men from New Zealand and all over Australia joined with the Royal Military College band for a wonderful show and proceeds going to Soldier On. Today I dropped into the Gilmore Primary fete, where I bought this gingerbread house, which I’m taking to the office for our Christmas decorations. Here’s hoping next weekend is dry so I can finally get to planting out my many purchases!
